| Overview: | After receiving a panicked phone call from her boyfriend Manni (Moritz Bleibtreu), who has lost a suitcase full of cash belonging to his gangster boss, Lola (Franka Potente) must race to raise the cash herself in 20 minutes. If she doesn't meet the tight deadline, Manni plans to rob a supermarket to get the money. And if he is unable to get the money in time, one way or another, he will surely be toast.
We watch as Lola frantically runs to every possible source of funds, parents, friends, banks... But the truly fascinating things about this film are the way the story unfolds, and the constant driving musical score which has become so strongly identified with this film. Without giving away any of the surprises, let us just say that this is a film unlike any other, which will leave you gasping for breath.
